Cyril - Methodian Cross

It was built in 1995 on Šibená hora above Bardejov to commemorate the arrival of prior missionaries Cyril and Methodius to the territory of our country in 863, a founding the Matica Slovenská in 1863 and establishment of the Slovak Republic in 1993.

His ordination was jointly performed by representatives of the Roman Catholic and Evangelical A.V. and the Orthodox Church. The manager of the construction of this monument was entrusted to Ing. Metod Kalavský, a citizen of Bardejov. It is located just a few minutes from Bardejov.

On the way to it, you have to climb around 100 steps, but from the place you will see a beautiful view of the city of Bardejov.
